Sweet Home Chicago

Everytime I head back home, I gotta stop by these here shops to get my Chicago brand New Era fix. I always try to at least drop by and say what up to my homies at Jugrnaut, Leader1354 and St. Alfred, and almost always end up walking out with a fitted or two. I gotta rep my Chicago fam on the West Coast! I also got a chance to check out Akin for the first time on this “vacation” and I’ll be going back again for sure. A couple other awesome shops that I didn’t get a chance to check out on this trip are RSVP Gallery and Rotofugi, which I will definitely be dropping by next time. RSVP quenches the thirst for that high-end need while Rotofugi takes care of your vinyl toy addiction.

While they’re all dope and I can almost guarantee that I’ll find something I want at any one of these locations, here are some reasons why you need to check out EACH of them and not just one of them. Also, drop by Jugrnaut, Leader1354 and St. Alfred to cop some FREE Finally Hip stickers!

jugrnaut The homies over at Jugrnaut can get you easily covered with their own brand and you can leave happy. The shop also carries everything from current brands like Black Scale to Mishka, while also carrying that vintage gear ranging from old school Polo to old school jerseys. You can spend your whole bank account getting covered in yesterdays and todays freshness. Say what up to Ban, Roger, Manny, Arthur & Matt.

Another must stop for me, and you, should be Leader1354. As with all the Chicago spots, you can definitely get your fitted fix here. Especially since Ty, Vic and Corey drop a new fitted every 45 minutes. If you like to hyper match your gear, you can definitely match up your kicks with whatever Leaders gear is out at that time. They also have a wide range of accessories and sneakers with clothing labels like BBC and Play Cloths to shoe brands like Nike and Red Wings.

I got a soft spot for this shop because it was the first streetwear shop I stepped into back in the day when I was looking for an LRG jacket at their first Hyde Park location, haha.

Saint Alfred drops some real nice and clean fitteds. The fitted drops definitely not as often as the other shops but when they do drop, the caps are sssuuupppeeeerrr clean. They’ve always been some real nice cats, from their alumni (Krabby and Kane) to their current staff (Joe, David, Deal, etc), and super helpful when needed. This is the spot where you go to cop everything from Jordans on their drop date (camping time) to everything else like Kicks Hawaii, Original Fake, Huf, etc.

Next time I’m in town, I’ll have to hit up and do write ups of RSVP Gallery, Rotofugi and Akin.
